CM Expert
Welcome to CMExpert, an aerospace software system developed by
COSYS to manage the records and data of your aircraft fleet. Today's
aviation authorities demand accurate up-to-date records of an aircraft's
configuration and maintenance performed. Incorporating CMExpert
into your business process will assist in reducing costs and improve
accuracy associated with maintaining your assets. Listed below is an
overview of the functionality of CMExpert.:
As Maintained Configuration
A
complete collection of the critical records and data that relate to
the engine or aircraft. The As-Maintained Configuration's origins are
at the point that the manufacturer is ready to ship the product, and
becomes the starting point for the operator to start their recordkeeping.
Historical data such as removal and installation of parts and modules,
life limited parts and serialized parts, service bulletins, airworthiness
directives, and the maintenance performed on the engine or aircraft
is safe guarded. Historical records of any change applied are maintained.

Maintenance Management
The
owner/operator of an aircraft is responsible to maintain their airframe
and powerplant. It is critical for safety and required by law. All manufacturers
have defined periodic maintenance that must be performed according to
a certain schedule, such as an A, B, or C check, or any other predetermined
inspection interval. CMExpert incorporates not only the checks
that are listed in the manual, but enables the operator to make decisions
on maintenance that needs to be performed based on service bulletins,
airworthiness directives, and unscheduled events. It allows to build
up the life limit of an aircraft, engine or engine module. Workscopes
are built for the shop that include not only the parts, but their inventory
status (I.e. quantity, location, and cost), the quantity of labor needed,
and the tools required to complete the task. Once all maintenance is
performed CMExpert turns the planned work into an actual record
of work performed requiring minimal user intervention. All maintenance
performed is recorded and the configuration of the aircraft is updated.
Subsequently, the owner/operator is able to manage their assets through
the reports that are generated from CMExpert

In Service Data Management
Whether
you are a manufacturer of an airframe or engine, or you are the operator
of an aircraft, managing your assets requires accurate records. In Service
Data Management allows you to log events, maintain actual flight times
and cycles that are a prerequisite for statistical output and later
for the decision making process on how to improve the performance of
the product. Reliability information and workscopes that can be generated
using such data will be invaluable during the maintenance decision making
process. This system module contains the reporting functions to create
almost any possible output.

Task/Change Management
Following
the process of a project through the many steps to completion is always
a daunting goal. Additionally, projects relating to the aerospace industry
can compound the problem. Making that goal a reality can be done with
the assistance of the Task Management system from COSYS.
There are two keys to having a successful project management system
in aerospace. First, by making available electronically all necessary
documentation in the process, all parties involved in the process are
able to view the current status and go to the person or people responsible
for completing the next task. Second, by using the Task Management system,
all data related to the project can be accessed from the rest of the
CMExpert system.

Planned Configuration
In
a manufacturing environment the configuration of an engine or aircraft
goes through many stages of development. The product improvement process
produces changes that must be incorporated and recorded continuously
throughout the product planning process. There is a need to track the
parts that should be used to build the product, while at the same time
maintaining a record of any changes that occur. The COSYS Planned Configuration
records the master parts list of the IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalogue),
the bill of material, and the effectivity of parts by serial number
and model. COSYS uses an ATA structure for all parts listings. In addition,
our system provides the basic service bulletin information in this module.
